Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, President of Tanta University, and Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, announced the closing of the 40th Annual Conference of the Faculty entitled "University Hospitals: Between Challenges and the Future in the Era of the New Republic."

   The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Professor of Chest Diseases and Presidential Advisor for Medical Affairs and Prevention; Prof. Wael El-Derindali, Board Member of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (HAHAR), representing Prof. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the Authority; Prof. Medhat Morsi, Professor at Kasr Al-Ainy and Member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, Secretary of the Scientific Committee, representing Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay, President of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate; Dr. Abdelfattah Seddeqa, Former President of Tanta University; Dr. Abdelhakim Abdelkhaleq, Former President of Tanta University; Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Former President of Tanta University; Dr. Mohamed Al-Aswad, Former Vice President of Tanta University and President of the Union of Mediterranean Universities; Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Vice Chair of the Conference; Prof. Howaida Ismail, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Loai Al-Ahwal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hassan El-Tatawy, Executive Director of University Hospitals and Conference Secretary; Prof. Ragia Shersher and Prof. Mohamed Mokhtar Mabrouk, General Secretaries of the Conference.

The event was attended by a large number of esteemed professors from Egyptian medical faculties, representatives from the Ministry of Health, Health Insurance Authority, resident doctors, and medical students. The closing ceremony was held at the InterContinental Citystars Hotel, Cairo.
