In the presence of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals and Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Health Policies, The Governor of Gharbia, the President of Tanta University, the Vice President of the University, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Inaugurate the 40th Annual Conference of the Faculty


     Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University, Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, and Chair of the conference, inaugurated the 40th Annual Conference of the Faculty of Medicine under the title "University Hospitals: Between Challenges and the Future in the Era of the New Republic."

The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Omar Sherif Omar, Professor of Surgery at Cairo University and Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, and Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Anani, Professor of Otorhinolaryngology, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals at Zagazig University, and Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Health Policies.

Also in attendance were Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Vice Chair of the Conference; Dr. Hassan El-Tatawy, Executive Director of University Hospitals and Conference Secretary; Prof. Mohamed Mokhtar Mabrouk and Prof. Ragia Shersher, General Secretaries of the Conference; Dr. Bahaa Tawfiq, Head of the Gharbia Physicians Syndicate; as well as directors and deputy directors of university hospitals, heads of departments, faculty members from Tanta Faculty of Medicine and other Egyptian universities, representatives from the Ministry of Health, Health Insurance Authority, resident doctors, medical students, and members of the media and press.

The event took place at the Grand Conference Hall of the Medical Campus.
