Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced that the Oncology Treatment Program at the University Oncology Center has been accredited as a training center for qualifying Arab physicians by the Arab Board of Health Specializations (“Arab Board”), which is affiliated with the Council of Arab Health Ministers under the League of Arab States. The accreditation is granted for a period of six years and enables physicians to obtain the Arab Board certification across various medical specialties.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that accrediting the Oncology Program at the Faculty of Medicine as a training center represents a culmination of the university’s efforts to develop its medical and research systems, and affirms its leadership in providing education and training that meets international standards. He added that this accreditation reflects international confidence in the academic and medical competencies at Tanta University.
He also stressed the university’s strong commitment to achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy in advancing higher education and scientific research, as well as improving the quality of healthcare services. He noted that this six-year accreditation serves as a well-deserved recognition that enhances the university’s international ranking and reinforces its role as a regional center of expertise in specialized medical fields. He praised the efforts of the Oncology Department staff and the Faculty of Medicine team who contributed to this significant achievement.
