Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, announced the successful extraction of a metal fork with pointed prongs and a wooden handle from the stomach cavity of a 35-year-old patient. This procedure was carried out by a medical team formed from the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit in the Internal Medicine Department, along with the ENT, Anesthesia, and Surgical Intensive Care Departments, at the New Surgical Hospital of Tanta University Hospitals.
