Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, announced the signing of a cooperation protocol between Tanta University Hospitals and the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development, aimed at providing the Surgical and Intensive Care sectors with a number of medical devices.
The protocol was signed on behalf of Tanta University Hospitals by Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, and on behalf of the Banque Misr Foundation by Essam El-Wakeel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the foundation. Prof. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that the signing of this protocol, with financial support of EGP 27 million, reflects Tanta University’s commitment to strengthening effective partnerships with civil society organizations and donor institutions to develop the healthcare services provided by university hospitals, especially in critical sectors such as surgery and intensive care.
He added that this vital collaboration is part of the university’s strategic plan and aligns directly with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as Egypt Vision 2030, which prioritizes the enhancement of quality of life and healthcare services as a national priority.
