In a successful start for the Cardiac Electrophysiology Unit at the New Surgery Hospital, the first two cases of electrophysiological study and radiofrequency ablation catheterization were successfully performed

  Prof. Ahmed Ghanem, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of the University Hospitals Council, announced the successful completion of the first two cases of electrophysiological catheterization and radiofrequency ablation at the New Surgery Hospital's Cardiac Electrophysiology Unit, within the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine. The patients, two women, had been suffering from severe heart palpitations and had received repeated electrical shocks over the past year. The procedures were carried out under the supervision of Prof. Hassan Al-Tatawi, Executive Director of the University Hospitals, Prof. Raghda Ghanem El-Sheikh, Head of the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, Prof. Ahmed Sweilem, Director of the Main Hospital and New Surgery Hospital, and Prof. Mohamed Sarhan, Deputy Director of the Main Hospital and New Surgery Hospital.
