Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, inaugurated the 12th Annual Scientific Day on Optic Nerve and Ocular Nerves Diseases, organized by the Department of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, the Dean, and Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, along with Prof. Osama Shalaby, Head of the Department and Conference President. The scientific day was supervised by Prof. Said Shalaby, supervisor of the department's scientific activities, and Prof. Tarek El-Mohamady Eid, the conference rapporteur, with assistance from Prof. Mohamed Abu Hamid and Prof. Ayman Amara.

    The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Ahmed El-Shafei, Professor of Ophthalmology and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Minya University, Prof. Essam El-Metboly, Professor of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, Prof. Miada Ali, Professor and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, Kafr El-Sheikh University, Prof. Sami Torky, Professor of Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University, and Major General Medical Officer Maher Assem from the Armed Forces Hospitals, along with faculty members, assistants, and medical staff from the Ministry of Health, Health Insurance, Military Hospitals, Police Hospitals, and Egyptian Fellowship Doctors training at the department. The event was held in the conference hall at the Faculty of Medicine.
