Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University, announced that the Stroke Unit at Tanta University Hospitals has been selected as one of the Top 95 hospitals worldwide for stroke treatment by the World Stroke Organization (WSO) at its 16th International Conference in 2024.

Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, announced that the Stroke Unit at the Psychiatry and Neurology Center at Tanta University Hospitals has been selected as one of the Top 95 hospitals worldwide for stroke treatment by the World Stroke Organization (WSO). This recognition was awarded at the 16th International WSO Conference, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from October 23–26, 2024. The event was attended by Dr. Sheila Martin, President of the World Stroke Organization, along with organization members, Prof. Ihab Shawky and Prof. Hazem Abdelkhaleq from Tanta University’s Faculty of Medicine, and stroke experts from around the world.
