The President of Tanta University and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine inaugurate the Kidney and Urology Microsurgery Hospital

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, the President of Tanta University, and Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, inaugurated the Kidney and Urology Microsurgery Hospital at Tanta University Hospitals. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, the Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Magdy Sabaa, the former President of Tanta University, Prof. Kamal Okasha, the former Vice President of Tanta University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Hassan Attatwai, the Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Mamdouh El-Masry, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Tanta University, Prof. Abdelhamid El-Bahnsy, the Head of the Urology Surgery Department at the Faculty, Prof. Osama Shalaby, the Head of the Ophthalmology Department, Prof. Ali El-Deeb, the Head of the Rheumatology, Rehabilitation, and Physical Therapy Department, Prof. Ahmed Sowilam, the Director of the Main Hospital and the New Surgery Hospital, Prof. Mohamed Abou Farha, the Director of the Comprehensive Clinic, and Prof. Mohamed Samir, the Director of the World Educational Hospital, a number of faculty members from the Urology Surgery Department at the Faculty and staff from the University Hospitals, including administrators, engineers, technicians, and nurses.

  Prof. Mahmoud Zaki emphasized that this hospital is the first medical and research excellence center in kidney diseases and surgeries, equipped with advanced technology, and it aligns with the fourth generation of international educational hospitals, serving patients from the Delta governorates at a total cost of 700 million Egyptian pounds. It was built according to the latest international standards, in line with Tanta University's commitment to developing the medical system, in implementation of the political leadership's directives that gave significant attention to the medical sector. He explained that the hospital will provide medical care services to patients with integrated health standards through distinguished medical teams trained at the highest medical level, praising the hospital's facilities during his tour, including the kidney transplant unit and the operation rooms equipped with a capsule system and patient rooms.
