Tanta Faculty of Medicine Joins the List of International Institutions Acknowledged by the Medical Council of India (MIC)

 

    Prof. Magdi Sab', Tanta University President, has announced that Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University joined the list of international institutions acknowledged by the Medical Council of India (MIC). This is considered a remarkable scientific progress that reflects endeavors of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Tanta University towards improving the scientific level of the University internationally and occupying advanced positions among great universities.

   For his part, Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, has affirmed that it was a result of constant efforts exerted by the Faculty for continuous development through abiding by international standards of education, applying obvious mechanisms that help improve education quality, and coping with technology via finding out the latest advances of science.

   It is worth mentioning that the Medical Council of India (MIC) was founded in 1934 as a legislative body to set high standardized criteria of medical education in India. The Council grants accreditation to faculties of medicine, registers medicine practitioners, monitors medical practice in India, acknowledges medical qualifications given by medical institutions in India, acknowledges foreign medical qualifications in India, and registers doctors who hold acknowledged medical qualifications.
